The Winston-Salem Stewardship Council is proud to be an active participating community of the Black Wall Street Forward initiative. As a part of this initiative, our group has collectively designed a project to share the rich history of the Black Wall Street Experience in Winston-Salem, and amplify Black businesses and local initiatives that aim to accelerate Black economic mobility in our city.  The digital hub will explore the history, present, and future landscape of the Black Wall Street Experience of Winston Salem, NC.

Black Philanthropy Initiative is a 100% Black-led initiative of The Winston-Salem Foundation that is explicitly, not exclusively, focused on grantmaking and programming that strengthens our local Black communities. By joining together with people from all walks of life in Forsyth County, we work to educate and effect change to build a better future for Black people, their families, and their communities.
